What exactly is Street Mail?
You’ve heard, I’m sure, of voice mail, email, and ordinary mail. Add to this list Street Mail, the coincidences that occur on the “street” of your Everyday Life. These are the chance happenings that many of us choose to disregard as just flukes or accidents. Many people have been taught to routinely see these events as perhaps quirky, but overall meaningless. They are often forgotten as quickly as dreams. They are routinely disregarded and overlooked when, in fact, they could be messages we are missing.
What if they were, in fact, divine guidance in disguise? What if they were pointing you to what could be in your life? Or, giving you a message that opens your awareness to deeper aspects of yourself? What if they were happening constantly and by paying attention you could increase their significance in your life?
I’ve been keeping track of Street Mail for quite a few years. I have a Journal of Magic where I do my best to keep notes on these Happenings. I’m often astounded looking back because the events seem like dreams, dreams that I may have forgotten had I not made the effort to take note of them. When I consider that so much of our everyday present-life experiences are unnoticed, thus forgotten, what does this say about the remembering of dreams, let alone past lifetimes!
Upon leaving the house for a walk recently, I was wondering if I would run into some Street Mail and hoping if I did it would be something dramatic, worthy of a photo. I also happened to be thinking about what kind of impact we all have on each other’s lives. Then I came upon an old bus parked near a baseball field. The bus was from the Jackie Robinson Baseball League, an intramural instructional league for Philadelphia kids. I happen also to be a baseball fan, Phillies, of course.
Here’s the Street Mail I saw on the back of the bus:
Now that you’ve seen what I mean by Street Mail, go find your own! Keep your heart, mind, and all your senses open to experience what Everyday Life has to give to you. Keep notes on these happenings and watch them increase. Above all, enjoy yourself.
Feel free to contact me if you want to share your experiences with Street Mail. I’m collecting these stories, so I would love to hear from you.
